Psychology and Special Education Challenge: A Research Initiative Between Al Ain University and Schools

Students from the College of Education and Humanities & Social Sciences at the Abu Dhabi Campus, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the event “Psychology and Special Education Challenge: Mini Conference” to strengthen communication between the university and schools and encourage research in the fields of psychology and special education.

Teams of students from several private schools participated, presenting their work through short research papers, videos, and educational posters covering topics such as empathy and learning difficulties. The presentations were delivered before an academic committee, followed by discussions focusing on the clarity of the problem, methodology, innovation, and the potential impact of the proposed solutions. Winners were honored, and certificates were distributed to all participants.

The event contributed to enhancing students’ research, communication, and teamwork skills, strengthened the partnership between the university and participating schools, and promoted a culture of creativity and excellence by presenting innovative solutions to real issues in special education and psychology
