The College of Education receives the "Frank Murray" Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement 2023.
The College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Ain University has been awarded the "Frank Murray" Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement in 2023 by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). This recognition is in honor of their leadership and commitment to continuous improvement in their programs, following the submission of evidence and meeting the requirements for educator preparation program accreditation.
CAEP accreditation is received for both the programs, “Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Teaching and the Bachelor of Education in Special Education”. CAEP is the largest accrediting body for educator preparation programs in the United States.
Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat (Vice President- Accreditation & QA) stated, "We are proud to receive the Frank Murray Award, which reflects our collective efforts in getting CAEP international accreditation for 2 programs, and this reaffirms the quality of our education and our commitment to excellence."
Dr. Emad Al-Ghazo (Dean, College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences) emphasized that the accreditation granted by CAEP is evidence of our commitment to quality through the purposeful use of evidence in decision-making.
It's worth noting that the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement is named after the founding President of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC), who, in collaboration with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), established CAEP.
