AAU launched the SNAMS 2023 conference with the participation of 150 researchers and academics

The 10th International Conference on Social Networks Analysis, Management, and Security (SNAMS 2023) has kicked off at Al Ain University. The conference, organized in collaboration with IEEE, the University of Milan, and Graz University of Technology, will continue until November 24, 2023, at the university's campus in Al Ain City.

The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers to present and discuss their work related to social network analysis. It also seeks to explore opportunities and seek new contributions to overcome challenges in all aspects related to social networks. In addition, the conference aims to provide an opportunity for students, scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss and exchange ideas, results, and new experiences in all aspects of social networks.

More than 150 researchers and academics from over 15 countries around the world are participating in the conference. These countries include the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, Singapore, and others.

The conference will feature the presentation of approximately 100 research papers for four days. In addition, there will be a Student Poster Competition in which university students from across the country participate. Winners of this competition will be announced at the end of the conference.

Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, said: “As part of its strategic plan, The United Arab Emirates has taken the lead in supporting innovative research that serves sustainability. Al Ain University has been committed to its responsibility towards this strategy by supporting scientific research and organizing events like this conference”>

He added; “Al Ain University has achieved milestones in enhancing the quality of its programs and getting local and international accreditations from organizations adopting high-quality standards. All of the offered programs at Al Ain university are locally accredited by the Ministry of Education and the majority of these programs are accredited by well-known international organizations. These accreditations are a testament of the highest quality of our programs and they also reveal the commitment of our university in providing the best quality of education to our students”.

Dr. Qutaiba Al-Thebyan, the Dean of the College of Engineering, stated that the conference aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and scientific knowledge among researchers and academics. It seeks to foster discussions on joint scientific research in various fields, enhance collaboration prospects in scientific research, and address common topics. Additionally, the conference aims to keep pace with technology in the era of digital transformation and advanced applications of artificial intelligence.

The conference will cover diverse topics, including but not limited to Knowledge and Innovation Networks, Algorithms and Models, Deep Learning and Knowledge Discovery, Advertising, and Revenue Generation Social Networks, Social Networks and Online Learning, and Privacy and Security in Social Systems, among others.
