College of Education organizes a workshop on publishing in Scopus
The College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Ain University organized a seminar entitled, ‘How to Publish in Scopus Journals: Facts and Tips’, delivered by the Head of English Teacher Education Department, Dr. Abdelrahman Altakhaineh at Al Ain Campus, in the presence of Prof. Majed Al Jallad, Dean of the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the college faculty.
Dr. Altakhaineh suggested general tips for publishing in high-quality journals and explained in-detail how to publish in Scopus. He also stressed the importance of publishing in Scopus-indexed journals for publishing in such journals, plays a vital role in increasing the university reputation, getting an academic promotion and better jobs, increasing QS ranking, helping find your peers, and finally keeping you up to date with their research and publications. Dr. Altakhaineh added that publishing in and using Scopus database helps researcher to explore how many citations an article or author has received, identifying potential collaborators and managing research output and monitor reputation.
The Dean of the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, thanked Dr. Altakhaineh for his great effort, delivering the speech and in motivating the academic staff for publishing in such journals. At the end of the speech, Prof. Al-Jallad offered Dr. Altakhaineh a certificate of gratitude.
