Poetry evening on the occasion of World Poetry Day

The Deanship of Student Affairs (Abu Dhabi Campus), in cooperation with the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, organized a poetry evening presented by students on the occasion of World Poetry Day, with the aim of enriching their talents and enhancing their skills in reciting and writing poems.

The evening was moderated by Dr. Mohammad Al-Hourani, Director of the Arabic Language and Islamic Studies Programs, who spoke briefly about the march of Arabic poetry from the beginning of pre-Islamic poetry until this moment and its most prominent stages. Then the student Mahmoud Al-Fahdi presented a collection of his poems, which varied between Nabati and eloquent. The student poet Saif Al-Mansoori presented a number of Nabati poems with beautiful recitation, and the two poets' poems focused on the United Arab Emirates and its wise leadership.
