The Professional Development Center (PDC) has been created as a central organisational center for the co-ordination and delivery of professional development programme for all learning community at Al Ain University of Science & Technology which serve three groups: Academic faculty, Administration staff and students. Also, Professional development Center offer its services to the local organisation either profit or non profit organisation as part of the social responsibility toward the community outside the University as part of the community engagement activities.
Professional Development Center with responsibility for driving the enhancement of education and learning, the center works in partnership with colleges and services such as HR, IT, Library, Admission and Student Support Services (SSS) to enhance University student learning experience and offer opportunities for academic faculty and staff the learning and development in three areas; Teaching & Learning, Research & Scholarly activities and Community Engagement.
Professional Development Center works in partnership with Professional Services to offer and signpost a range of learning and development activities and resources, including face-to-face courses, customised events, online learning materials, action learning sets and recommended reading.
