Launching 17 New Academic Programs to Prepare National Talent for Future Needs
Al Ain University has announced the launch of 17 new academic programs across the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional diploma levels, reflecting its national and societal commitment to preparing young talent capable of keeping pace with the evolving demands of the labor market in vital fields such as artificial intelligence, digital media, and health sciences.
The newly introduced programs include a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and a Master’s degree in Software Systems Engineering, in addition to advanced specializations in Digital Media, Public Relations, Communication and Crisis Management, and Advertising and Digital Marketing. These offerings strengthen the University’s presence in the creative industries and digital transformation sectors, which are national priorities for the UAE.
In the healthcare sector, the University has launched a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)—the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi—along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, in response to the growing demand for qualified medical professionals.
The programs also cover education and social sciences, including a Master of Arts in Applied Sociology, a Master of Education in Gifted and Talented Education, and a Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Education, aimed at preparing specialists capable of delivering innovative solutions in human development.
In addition, the University has expanded its offerings in media and data management through the introduction of a Master’s degree in Digital Media and Public Relations and a Master of Science in Data Analytics, with the objective of preparing graduates who can effectively engage with digital advancements, content creation, and institutional communication.
At the doctoral level, Al Ain University now offers PhD programs in Law, Business Administration, and Education (Arabic Language Curriculum and Teaching Methods), in support of scientific research and the development of educational and legislative policies.
Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, President of the University, emphasized that the launch of these programs embodies the University’s commitment to the UAE’s vision of building a sustainable knowledge-based economy and investing in youth as the nation’s true wealth for the future.
He added that Al Ain University integrates in-depth academic education with practical training to prepare students for the labor market across diverse fields, including intelligent systems, software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital media, crisis management, dentistry, nursing, specialized education, and legal and social research. He noted that this initiative aligns with the UAE’s designation of 2025 as the “Year of Community,” which places education at the heart of economic and social development.
