Al Ain University signs an MOU with Dresden University of Applied Sciences in Germany

Al Ain University (AAU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of Applied Sciences Dresden in Germany with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two sides in standard academic fields. The MOU was signed by Prof. Christoph Scholf, President of Dresden University, and Prof. Ghaleb Al-Refae, AAU President.

The MOU aims to enhance aspects of academic, cultural, and research exchange, contribute to the professional development of academics, cooperate in teaching and scientific research, and develop joint research projects in areas of interest to both universities at the level of all faculties and programs. The memorandum also promotes the exchange of faculty members, and students, in addition to, corporate events, conferences, and activities. The two parties also agreed to exchange educational and research projects, publish scientific research and discuss joint study programs, in addition to cooperating in the field of holding lifelong learning courses and exchanging vocational training for students in both countries.

Prof. Ghaleb El-Refae commented that the signing of this MOU reflects the university's strategy in consolidating cooperation relations with distinguished educational institutions and enhancing sources and information, which contributes to enhancing knowledge exchange, and common experiences and expertise. He stressed the keenness of Al Ain University to support scientific research and participate in community services, with the aim of improving the quality of education in the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Imad Alghazo, Dean of the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, indicated that the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the University of Applied Sciences Dresden comes within the framework of Al Ain University’s endeavor to develop the knowledge of the academicians and students through information and knowledge exchange between the two universities, pointing to the depth of academic and scientific cooperation between the university and other institutions.
