AAU President opens the Book Fair 2019
Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, opens the AAU Book Fair 2019, organized by the Khalifa Library in Al Ain Campus for four consecutive days. In the presence of librarians, deans, faculty members, and students.
In collaboration with local publishing houses and distributors such as; the Zamzam Publishing and Friendship Bookshop, more than a thousand titles of valuable academic books were displayed in various topics in engineering and information technology, medicine and health sciences, Sharia and law, education, humanities and social sciences, business administration, communication and media.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition was an excellent opportunity for the AAU librarians to enrich the library with latest editions of books, and to AAU community to buy the most recent and valuable books, including the book entitled "My Story" by Hiss Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Organizing the book fair came from the library’s keenness to raise the awareness of AAU community about the importance of books in seeking knowledge and scholarly research.
