100% scholarships for the top "five" high school graduates at AAU

Al Ain University has allocated a wide range of scholarships and humanitarian aid to its students in preparation for the new academic year 2018-2019, in line with its strategy to create an exceptional learning environment for academically outstanding students and others who meet the scholarship criteria set by the University.

The University offers full grants covering 100% of the tuition fees to the top five ranked high school students in the UAE and discounts up to 30% of the total fees for the first semester to high school graduates who achieved results of 90% or higher. AAU also offers a discount up to 40% to the high achieving students currently enrolled at the University, as long as they have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours in the first or second semester with a minimum GPA of 3.6 out of 4.0. Outstanding students in extracurricular activities are awarded a one-semester scholarship. Scholarships and fee reductions of varying degrees are also available for: siblings and relatives of current students; students who experience the loss of their family breadwinner; and the children of University employees.

Al Ain University provides students who cannot continue their studies due to financial difficulties with humanitarian assistance. The Board of Trustees at AAU has established a “Musahama" fund (which receives donations and grants from foreign charitable institutions) to create an ongoing source of support for financially challenged students.

Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, stressed the importance and contribution of scholarships to the University’s mission and objective to build national capacity in various disciplines and programs. The scholarship program also serves to support and encourage excellence, nurturing student talent and creating an academic environment conducive to creativity, innovation and scientific leadership by outstanding students. “The Humanitarian Aid Fund is a bridge for students to cross into the future and complete their course,” Dr Noor noted.

Being awarded a scholarship or humanitarian aid is subject to several criteria and conditions that students must adhere to. Scholarship applications are limited to undergraduate students only and can only apply for via the Deanship of Student Affairs at the beginning of the first and second semester.
